"...where's the Tylenol?"

I just want all you faithful 10 readers to know that you are very lucky. I was not planning on blogging tonight, instead I was planning to pop a lung running on the treadmill. I've got to get fit and fabulous before I get fat and pregnant again. So, just consider this an early Christmas present that you get a post on the blog tonight. I'm just delaying the treadmill because it doesn't sound like much fun. What does sound fun, however, is sharing my Thanksgiving pictures with you!
Part of the reason I need the treadmill is because of the below cake. We went to Eugene for Thanksgiving with Chris' step-dad, and good family friends Phil and Patty. I always welcome a chance to practice my newly acquired cake decorating skills, so I embarked on making some fondant pilgrims and it turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself!

Don't be super impressed, though. I was pressed for time so the cake isn't made from scratch, it's actually a funfetti mix, which is what I had in the pantry. I was taking pictures of it when I noticed a cute little girl staring at the cake! Sydney loves to sample the icing.

Here's Syddo with Phil and Patty, or as she calls them, Potty and Fume.

Potty and Fume have a young granddaughter that comes often to visit, so they have lots of fun toys at their house! Sydney was all over the play cash register!

Tomorrow is the annual Civil War football game, which is always a lot of fun. Chris will be going with some buddies and he is very excited! We'll all go next year when it's at home for us. Anyway, some family friends of ours, Steve and Kathy, got this for my dad. It will match the GI-NOURMOUS "O" that is on my parents roof.

And finally, this last one is for my dad. Every year after Thanksgiving we get together with Steve and Kathy and watch Christmas Vacation, with Chevy Chase and Randy Quaid. It's so stupid, but we can all practically recite the entire movie and we watch it EVERY YEAR. You can't mess with tradition. We always have to rewind the part where Clark is complaining (that's to put it mildly) about his boss not giving him a Christmas bonus. Here is the clip if you've never seen it. Watch out all my mommy friends out there, don't let your kids hear this as it has some colorful language. Enjoy!

Love it! We are such Griswold people! That is one of my all time favorite movies! I would love to watch it with the Ortman/Huntington clan!
