Fourth of July, Part Two

After our morning of pancakes and parades, we went home so the girls could get a nap, Chris could do yardwork, and I could play on facebook get the food ready for our BBQ.  This is the first time we have been able to spend part of the day with Matt and Melissa.  They normally camp over the fourth, but with it being in the middle of the week it made it impossible to work out.  Score for us, though, we loved having them over!  My mom, sister, and a family friend, Kathy, came over as well and we had a fun, but loud, time being all crammed into our tiny little house!

I put together a festive dessert and the kids loved it!

We finished off the night with some little firecrackers.  The girls were all over those little Pop-It's and they did really well with the loud fireworks.  And yes, they are in their jammies!

I love this face, this is what she did when the first firecracker went off!

We had such a great day.  I am so thankful that we live in a country where we get to celebrate our freedom every day and every year.
