Two Year Old's In Arizona

Last night my friend Emily told me I probably shouldn't have any more children because I've had it so easy with Sydney and the next one would probably be a hellian and make up for how easy I've had it with Sydney. I do admit, Sydney is a pretty resiliant child and was a pretty good baby. While I won't get into her slightly less than wonderful traits at this time (like, how every day this week she has refused to eat a single bite of breakfast), she's a good sleeper, she potty trained early, and she's a very happy, sunny little girl.
But sometimes, she decides to throw a massive, screaming, kicking, rolling on the floor fit at the store. Case in point, this evening's display at Lowe's...

Yep, that's my child, rolling on the floor, and yep, I was that parent, letting her do it. I refused to give in to her. She wanted me to carry her, but I needed her to walk, and she didn't want to. I knew if I gave in after 10 minutes of her screaming and carried her that I would have lost that battle. She eventually realized that I was NOT going to carry her and she got up and we wiped off her tears and we went on our merry way. Later on, Melissa called and said Madison was being awful today, too, and her parents are in Arizona. She was wondering if it would be possible to send a 2 year old to Arizona? I don't think it's likely, plus we would probably miss them even if we could them to Arizona.

Those "bad mother" looks drive me crazy. I have to try extra hard to bite my tongue when that happens. There has never been a kid who didn't survive throwing a fit on the floor then finishing the trip!

This is why I love that our girls are so close in age. We can totally commiserate with each other. Today seems to be better so far. Hope yours is as well.
I am proud of you for sticking it out through the fit. :)

I have often thought of sending my Jilly via Amtrak to grandma and grandpa's house in WA too. Don't think the Amtrak people would appreciate it very much though. I, really, I'd be scared out of my mind the WHOLE time.
