For the last few weeks, the Royal Wedding App on my IPOD officially counted down until the big day. Unfortunately for me, I had a meeting at work that day so I couldn't get up and watch it in real time. I watched it over the weekend and finished it up this morning and it was just wonderful! Sydney and I had the best time! We have been watching YouTube videos of past royal weddings in preparation for this one! Well done, Great Britian, what an awesome show!
I thought Kate looked BEAUTIFUL! Her dress reminded me of Queen Elizabeth's dress when she got married. Everything from the ceremony to the carriage ride to the first kiss(es) on the balcony were lovely. And the HATS!! Oh my gosh, the hats were the best part! Here is my least favorite of all of them. This is Princess Anne, the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles' only sister. It's not just because it's purple, but I just really don't like it.

This is Sophie, Countess of Wessex. She is the wife of Prince Edward, the Queen's youngest son. Simple but really charming.
I don't know who this is, but doesn't this look like something Cruella DeVille would have worn? It's terrible but for some reason, I love it!!
These lovely ladies are Princess Beatrice of York and Princess Eugenie of York. They are the daughters of Prince Andrew, the Queen's second son, and Fergie (and not Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas). The hat on the right, Princess Beatrice's, got a lot of bad press, but I loved it!
I am torn over my absolute favorite from the big day. I have broken it down to my favorite hat and my favorite overall look. First up, my favorite hat. This is Zara Phillips. She is the daughter of Princess Anne (from the ugly purple hat above) and is Prince William's cousin. I LOVE this hat! If you're going to the biggest wedding of your life and it's a royal wedding, why not play it up?! I'm not so much a fan of the tinfoil coat, but I just might need that hat!
As for my favorite outfit, I have chosen this dress by Princess Letizia of Asturias. She is the wife of Prince Felipe, the heir to the Spanish throne. I love this because it reminds me of a flapper outfit, and the color is just beautiful! She is so, so pretty.
I hope Prince Harry catches this royal wedding fever and gets married soon, I want to do this again!

I also had the Royal Wedding app! What fun it was to watch and I too am ready for the next one!!! I am sure my dad will dress up again :)
I didn't get the pre-wedding hype, but as I was watching all the media coverage of it afterwards...I became intrigued. I personally would take the purple hat over the one that looks like snakes/horns coming out of the forehead...but maybe its because I'm not a hat person ;-)
My favorite quote was when Prince William leaned over to Kate at the alter and said "I thought this was going to be a small family affair!" Just made me laugh to see how real they were being even in the midst of all of it.
