Balloons

One of my goals for the birthday parties was to have lots of color. The colors I chose were hot pink, light pink, lime green, aqua blue, and yellow. I chose those colors, along with a bird theme, from the Penelope line of bedding at Pottery Barn Kids, which is the set in Savannah's room. The bedding only has the pinks and the green, but it was so cute to add some brighter colors. One way to add a punch of color is balloons. I really wanted something different, though. I found these huge balloons online and had to have them. They are 36 inches, much bigger than the usual 9 inch balloons! We had some family pictures taken at the beach on Savannah's birthday and we used some of these huge balloons there, too, I can't wait to see how they turn out!

The big balloons were way too big for our house, which is where the first party was, so we only used them at the second party. They were the first thing people saw as they walked in.

They were too big for inside, though, so behind Savannah's highchair Melissa brought a bouquet of balloons to use. She sells these balloons now to match most of her party lines. Aren't they cute with the polka dots? Ignore the yellow one, I ran out of helium and had to blow it up by mouth, then I taped it to the balloon behind it! Ha!

I love how all the balloons added so much color to the party!
