Holy cow, it's finally February! This year I thought January was going to do me in for good, but I made it! Now, it's the month of love and girl scout cookies. The month of pink and red. The month of roses and chocolates. Woo Hoo! I've never really decorated for Valentine's Day before, but this year Melissa and I got swept up in it and we each decorated some. It's so fun to have a crafty friend like her who understands my obsessions. First up, here is the wreath I made to hang on our front door. It was easy enough but took for-freakin'-ever.
I love the little shelf above one of the windows in my kitchen. It's perfect for little decorations. And I LOVE this banner that Melissa made me.
Isn't this adorable?
And a few other decorations on a shelf opposite the window. The centerpiece is from Melissa, and I spray painted a pink flower pot red so it would match.

We are ready for Valentine's day! After that, I don't think we'll be doing any decorating unless I really get in the spirit of things and decorate for St. Patrick's Day. Hmmm...

I always like decorating for even the "little" holidays, but for ones like Valentines it is usually just a little: like my entry table & a shelf in the kitchen. I think that its lots of fun for kids! And, the only St. Patrick's Day decor I ever put out is a cute little shamrock bowl that can hold candy or a candle. Never have much inspiration for that holiday!
