The Invites

I really had a hard time picking the invitation for Savannah's party. I originally picked a little pink birdie that was sitting in a brown tree (I ended up using that for the thank-you's), but with the tree it didn't leave enough room for the text. A few months ago I threw a baby shower for my friend Jill and I had to laugh when she picked a bird theme for her shower! I was already up to my ears in birds, so it worked out well. Melissa came up with this idea for the invite to Jill's shower.

Isn't that cute? Jill wanted light pink and green and I think it was so cute. Once I saw that, I decided I would do that same invite in different colors for Savannah's parties. Here is how they turned out.


I love it! Melissa knows I like to be involved and do lots of the "crafty" things for my parties, so she printed them out and I assembled them. I love them! They are so bright and cheery, and that little birdie is so cute. I opted to not have the wing on my invites since there were so many colors already, but we put the wings on Jill's invites since there was only pink and green.
And by the way, here are some of the other decorations for Jill's shower in her pink and green bird set. I love how this set looks so cute in both sets of colors.

The name banner for baby Amelia.


I love making diaper cakes for baby showers, so I topped it with some birds and the baby's name for an easy and practical centerpiece.
