Party favors are one of my least favorite things about a party. I hate it when my kids come home from parties with a bag 'o crap. So, this time, I really wanted to do something different. I found these really cute chinese take out boxes and decided to give them a try. Melissa is going to be carrying them in her store now, too. I decided to jazz it up by adding some shimmery tulle ribbon and favor tags from Melissa and voila, this is what I got.
I love how these turned out, but let me tell you these babies were a labor of love. Lots and lots of love and labor. It took me half of freakin' forever to tie all that tulle ribbon on those boxes. The ribbon and those fabulous favor tags from Melissa made these boxes so cute. And what was inside of them, you may ask? Not crap. The girls all got cute little korker hairbows. The little boys got Play-Doh and a Matchbox car. The bigger kids got 'Mater Teeth, which is a sucker with a mouth piece that makes you look like 'Mater from Cars. They were a big hit!
A few posts back I mentioned my friend Jill's baby shower. I used a favor box tied with different ribbon for the gift for whoever won the baby shower game. Here was the box:
And this is what was inside of it:
You can get this cozy, and a go-zillion other cute ones, here.
