On the third day of Christmas, the gift is three french hens. Lots of birds in this song, huh? The traditional meanings of the three hens are the three virtues faith, hope, and love. This makes me think, of course, of my sweet Savannah Faith and Sydney Grace. We really wanted their middle names to be from the Bible. I have always loved the name Grace and always planned on having a daughter named Grace. Sydney was going to be named Grace until we were watching an episode of Alias when I was pregnant and Chris thought the name Sydney would be pretty awesome, after Sydney Bristow. It immediately felt "right" and she became Sydney Grace. Not too long after she was born I started thinking, "If I have another girl someday, I should name her after another city that starts with an S, like Sydney." The only one I could think of was Savannah, and that's how we came up with Savannah Faith! Not many people know this about me, but I have two middle names, which is kind of fun.
Only nine more days until my birthday! I am getting really excited! We're going out to the Melting Pot this weekend with Matt and Melissa, which will be ssssoooo nice! We'll actually be able to have adult conversation for the entire evening. I can't wait!
