Day 4

On the fourth day of Christmas, the true love gave 4 colly birds. I always thought it was calling birds, but it's actually colly. Colly birds are a type of blackbird (thank you, Wikipedia) and they represent the 4 gospels. I had no idea this song was so biblical! My favorite of the gospels is Luke. So, I don't have any clever stories about colly blackbirds, but I can relate to calling. Melissa and I call each other quite often. We probably talk 10 times a day. Now, a lot of that is interrupted by our children, but we make the most of it. And no matter how much we talk, we can always talk more. We could spend all day together and chat it up the entire time, then the minute we get home have to pick up the phone and talk some more. Love it, love her.

On a completely different note, Chris chaperoned a field trip for Sydney's preschool this last week. Before the field trip, they had a daddy-daughter date for breakfast at Starbucks. They are so cute! He is such a good daddy, and Sydney was ecstatic that she got to spend the morning with her daddy.

That is so cute that you and Melissa talk on the phone so often. I HATE talking on the phone, would so much rather text. :) Super cute pic of Sydney and Chris too...Brett and E love their Starbucks dates too. One weekend I was gone Brett took her to Krispy Kreme and that was cute too. :)

I don't know what I would do without our calling times. :) Interrupted or not. I missed chatting with you today and cannot wait to chat in the morning.
