So remember that post recently where I was talking about how I can justify buying cute things because I have two girls who will use them? The post was about leg warmers, but it applies to lots of areas. Specifically, the insane number of hairbows we have accumulated. So, this is how I used to hang the hairbows.
Those are two ribbons, stuffed to overflowing with hairbows. They overlapped and were a huge mess. What you can't see in this picture is the THREE boxes, yes three, also stuffed with hairbows that wouldn't fit on the ribbons. I didn't really want to spend $70.00 on a hairbow holder, either. Someday when we can afford a new house (sigh, that will be a long way off), I will put the bows on a cute, personalized hairbow holder, but I needed something in the meantime. Our main bathroom, which the girls use, is decorated in a U of O theme. I really wanted to make a hairbow holder to match the theme. I don't really have any space in our tiny little house to do crafts, but I found this plaque on Etsy. I thought, "Hey, I could attach ribbon and for $15.00 that would be a perfect hairbow holder." So that is what I did. Here it is with 4 yards of ribbon that I attached.
And here is the final product!

What's sad is that this isn't even all the bows! I found another box after I took these pictures! I'm really pleased with how it turned out! Even though I didn't do much more than attach ribbon, it felt good to be doing something crafty, and Sydney loved how it turned out.
