Days 6 and 7

I know, I know, I missed a day. I worked yesterday and was totally exhausted when I came home. So, on with our countdown. Day 6 is 6 geese-a-laying, which represent the 6 days of creations. Day 7 is 7 swans-a-swimming, which represents the 7 gifts of the Holy Spirit. Once again I say, what is up with all the birds in this song?
So this Saturday is the big day. I am actually really excited! We went to the Melting Pot with Matt and Melissa last Friday evening. After we had sufficiently stuffed ourselves, we decided to pop by Voodoo donuts to have something fun for all the kiddos in the morning. As we were driving, we saw some...interesting people! It's always funny to get us suburb folks out to the big city! We had a great time. I always miss the girls tremendously when I'm not with them, though, so it was good to come home to them.
I have another birthday memory. It's actually not mine, but my sister's. When Abbie turned 15, I was 23. I decided to totally go all out and I took her to Seattle for the weekend. We drove up, stayed at a nice hotel, went to a Mariner's game with my friend Heather, and went all over Seattle. It was so much fun! Great sister-ly bonding time. It's one of the really nice things about our age difference, if I hadn't been so much older than her there was no way I could have done a weekend like that! If you're up for commenting, please comment to tell me your favorite birthday memory. I'll post my favorite one.
