Birthday Party, Part II

It's no secret that I love to throw a party, and Sydney's birthday is always fun to plan. This year, though, I kind of wanted to keep it low key since I have a new baby and all. I wanted the kind of party where we could show up, provide the cupcakes, have the party, and leave, and not have to set-up or clean-up. So we decided to have her birthday party and the dance studio where she has ballet. It was perfect! We really just showed up, put up a few decorations, then they led the party and cleaned up. The staff even helped us load all the presents in our car after the party! As for the decoration, I didn't even do much this year, but thankfully my bestie has a business where she makes decorations! Here is the birthday banner that Melissa made.

Melissa also made this door sign for the dance studio entrance. I like these little door signs, they are so cute and also let guests know they are in the right spot. Click here to visit one of my favorite door signs that Melissa made for a baby shower, and here to see the cute butterfly set she made recently.

If you haven't been to Melissa's site, you should visit by clicking here. She made the banner, the centerpiece, and the cupcake pics. For the centerpiece, I just stuffed a tutu in a trifle bowl, stuck in the centerpiece sticks from Melissa, and voila, it was done. I can also use those centerpiece sticks when I scrapbook pictures from the party, they are the perfect little die-cuts! When you check out her website, look at the pictures from the princess party Madison had the weekend before last, they are so cute! I'm sure Melissa will post some more pictures from Sydney's party, too, including one of the invitation she made.

I added the ribbon to the cupcake pics to tie in with the ballet theme. Now for the cupcakes, my cousin Brianna made them. She is starting up a cupcake business and is doing a great job! She has the yummiest cupcakes, like Oreo, snickerdoodle, and snickers. She made these beautiful pink and white vanilla cupcakes for Sydney's party. Her website is still under construcion, but check it out by clicking here.

Since the dance studio did goodie bags for the girls, which was one less thing for me to worry about, I decided to get them these adorable little ballerina placemats from Frecklebox (click here). I love little personalized gifts, and these were perfect. Last but not least, each girl came in leotard and tights but I provided the tutu's. I got them at this fabulous website (click here) along with some cute little hats for Savannah.

Thank you to all my helpers for Sydney's party, it was so much fun! As east as it was for me this year, I am already coming up with plans for her birthday party next year where I be more actively involved in it. Can't wait!
