I was totally inspired by my friend Patti's recent post where she showed pictures of some of her favorite Christmas ornaments. So, I decided to shamelessly copy her. Thanks Patti! First up is my absolute favorite.
I actually have about a dozen of these babies. I made these just after Chris and I got married. These pearls were from strands on the tables at our wedding reception. The Christmas after we got married, I made some for us with ribbon added in our colors, and made one for all my aunts, grandmas, cousins, etc. I also saved a bunch of it to make some for my girl's trees when they are grown up. The tree skirt is also this really pretty, billowy burgandy fabric that was on our cake table. Next up is a new addition to our tree this year.
We got these cute little Santa's from a family I used to nanny for. They sent the girls beautiful snow globes and they were gift wrapped exquisitely. I didn't even want to open them, you know? Gorgeous wrapping paper, perfectly tied bow, and tied to the bow were these cuties. Love.Them.Tons. The next ones are kind of plain, but I love them.
We have a lot of burgandy in our house, and I love the simplicity of these. And next, from my favorite place...
The Starbucks ornament! They have a cute, clear one this year that I keep meaning to get. And finally, a funny one from the movie Christmas Vacation.
It's Cousin Eddie's RV! I love the line in that movie where Clark says, "So, when did you get the tenement on wheels?" Cousin Eddie responds, "Oh that? That there's an RRRR VVVV." Classic.

I totally just took pics of my ornaments last night to do the same thing. I thought it was so fun to see Patti's ornaments and the stories behind them.
