(Celebrity) Guest Blogger

Ok, since I didn't post yesterday, I am posting twice today to make up for it. That's how dedicated I am. I had the idea recently to do some "guest blogging" where I ask a blogger friend some questions and post them here on my blog. Today's guest blogger is Patti. Here's the funny thing about Patti-I don't really even know her. She is a friend of a friend and despite the fact that we live less than a mile away from each other, we have met only twice for a combined total of about two minutes. But, we're online friends and we have a lot in common. We have plans in the new year to get together for coffee and really get to meet and get to know each other. Here are some completely random questions I asked Patti, and my responses in parentheses.

1. Favorite random movie? "The Cutting Edge"
(Hee hee! That's funny. I like this movie, too. My fav random movie is Bubble Boy, especially the cross shaped cookies that crazy mother serves).

2. Favorite celebrity or celebrity couple, and if you could tell them one thing what would it be? Ooh this is a tough one. Geez. Hmm...I wish I could go back in time and tell Nick and Jessica to quit their reality show and just focus on their new marriage. For some reason their divorce made me really sad....I'm a big Carrie Underwood fan though so maybe she's my current favorite celebrity and I'd probably give her marriage advice since she's a newleywed. I am passionate about marriage, can you tell? :)
(I agree with the Nick and Jessica thing. Remember on that show when she didn't want to take the Lord's name in vain, so she'd say "Oh, Gah." So annoying).

3. Drink of choice at Starbucks? Regular drink: Iced Venti Stirred Nonfat Caramel Macciato. Holiday drink: white peppermint mocha with half the syrup.
(Since I'm on a no dairy, no chocolate, no caffiene thing while nursing Savannah, my fav lately is a Soy Vanilla Chai).

4. If your daughter had been a boy, what would the name have been and why? His name would have been Everett Christopher and the reason why is that I love Everett and Christopher is Brett's middle name. I'm 99% sure that is what we will name a son if we have one eventually. We'll see. ;)
(Sydney would have been Nathan or Lucas, no One Tree Hill thing intended, and Savannah would have been Emmitt or Liam).

5. Favorite ingredient to cook with in the fall or fav fall recipe? PUMPKIN!! My favorite pumpkin recipe is here: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Pauls-Pumpkin-Bars/Detail.aspx. I substitute applesauce for the oil and I also substitue pumpkin pie seasoning for the cinnamon. :) I also use a larger ratio of cream cheese to butter in the frosting. Super easy, I almost always have all the ingredients on hand except the cream cheese and pumpkin.

(I'm a pumpkin girl, too, and those pumpkin muffins are freakin' awesome).

6. Have you ever won anything? I have won a couple giveaways on blogs before which was exciting. I have also won a state competition with three other girls at my church for singing back when I was in high school!
(I have won $2.00 on the lottery, and tickets to see Reba McIntyre but was busy and couldn't go).

7. What's your favorite Bible verse? Zeph 3:17- "The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing." Ever since I became a mother, this verse has taken on a whole new meaning. I think of rocking my daughter and singing over her when she is sick and think of my Lord doing the same for me when I am hurting and have such a new perspective of my heavenly Father.
(That's a great one. Mine is Isaiah 41:10).

8. One random thing about you? I can't stand cilantro or black olives
(Gross, me either. Or liver, or most vegetables, or fish, or mustard. Or sushi, or chives, or most sauces. I wonder why Sydney is picky with food?)
